Saint Vlas
Sveti Vlas is located at the end of Stara Planina, where the slopes touch the clear waters of the Black Sea. This combination brings an average of 260 sunny days a year, a cool breeze, crystal clear healing air and conditions for the rehabilitation of diseases related to the upper respiratory tract.
But not only the climate, with properties close to those of the Mediterranean, characterize Saint Vlas. Today's resort town also has a rich history. Already in ancient times – about 1800 years ago, there was a sanctuary of the oldest inhabitants of these lands – the Thracians. In those times, they called the city Larissa, much later in the 14th century, the settlement honored the name of the saint, adopting his name, Saint Vlasius - the patron saint of merchants.
Nowadays, the resort has modern infrastructure, the beach is 1.5 km long and 16 meters wide on average. Divided into three main parts sprinkled with fine sand the color of gold, according to official data of the European Commission it is one of the cleanest and suitable for bathing beaches.
The largest and most modern yacht harbor in our country is also located here. Which during summer hosts numerous cultural events.
